I am an Emeritus Professor of Biostatistics. I have expertise in the development and use of statistical methods for longitudinal data analysis, mixed models and latent class models. I am the co-author of the Wiley texts Variance Components and Generalized, Linear, and Mixed Models (now in its second edition), the Springer text Regression Methods in Biostatistics (now in its second edition) and the author of the Institute of Mathematical Statistics monograph, Generalized Linear Mixed Models.

Dr. Pasick is Professor of Medicine at UCSF. From 2002-18 she served as Director of the Office of Community Engagement for the UCSF Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center. Trained in public health with a DrPH from UC Berkeley, Dr. Pasick has spent the past thirty years conducting research on cancer disparities in the diverse and underserved communities of the San Francisco Bay Area.

Urmimala Sarkar MD, MPH is Professor of Medicine at UCSF in the Division of General Internal Medicine, Associate Chair for Faculty Experience for the Department of Medicine, Associate Director of the UCSF Action Research Center for Health, and a general internist at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital’s Richard H. Fine People's Clinic. Dr. Sarkar’s work centers on innovating to improve the safety and quality of outpatient care for all populations, through digital health and team-based approaches.

1. Programmatic implementation of population-based colorectal cancer screening and follow-up of abnormal screening results. We embrace clinical informatics, AI, and implementation science methods to design, develop, and deliver economic and effective services for patients and health systems.
